Vansol Travel & Tours GM Clariza Nalam with Bp. Ronel Fabriquier , Iglesia Filipina Independiente – Diocese of Romblon
Inspired with the program to help indigenous communities and in the spirit of giving and sharing which is traditionally highlighted on yearend, Vansol Travel & Tours embarks on an annual commitment to help the Iglesia Filipina Diocese of Romblon on its Gift giving Project to the Mangyans. Beginning December 2016, Vansol Travel commits Php50 from every booking made under its Vansol ROADTRIPS, which is set to be launched also this month.
While its owner and general manager Clariza Nalam admits this is quite an ambitious commitment, she believes having this kind of social responsibility sets an example to fellow small business owners, “Somehow, being tourism establishments we benefit from indigenous tribes, we display them, we appreciate them, we march on their lands, why don’t we share what we have in our own little way to help them”. It is also Vansol’s way of appreciating its blessings and paying it forward to those who need it. We hope this endeavor will also inspire other tourism establishments whose activities affect indigenous communities one way or the other.
Gift-giving to Mangyans is an annual activity of the Diocese of Romblon and Mindoros during the month of December spearheaded by the Rt. Rev. Ronelio Fabriquier together with the generous supporters. The annual gift giving to the Mangyans serves as a channel of blessing both from the giver and the recipients. Aside from sharing of blessings, fellowship with Mangyans is also part of the activity. This year seven (7) Mangyan communities will benefit from the gift-giving.

And so the diocese is also knocking on generous hearts to share blessings with our Mangyan brothers and sisters by donating CANNED GOODS (sardines), NOODLES, PANCIT NOODLES, and RICE. For those interested, kindly get in touch with Ms. Sharon Famaran in the numbers indicated.
